The region of Saurashtra and Kacchh is considered to be a rich repository of Cultural and Historical inheritance that has managed to survive the vicissitudes of time. It is recognized, yet today, as one of the living traditions with people of Diverse communities ranging from nomadic tribes to city-dwellers and Cultural expressions ranging from property to architecture. The land, though tough and harsh, has not only allowed people to settle, giving them food and shelter, but has given life and opportunity to blossom as an individual and collectively as a society. Thus, playing an important role in the process of weaving the very fabric of our Indian Civilization.
Indubhai Parekh School of Architecture builds its foundations on such an inheritance allowing the building to deal with contemporary issues of Identity, Housing and Habitat more sensitively.
It is our firm belief that in this new emerging knowledge-based economy, only value-based scientific knowledge can convert various challenges into opportunities for growth and holistic development of an individual.
Our vision is to make our school not only the best in Saurashtra and Gujarat but one of the best institutes in the world. The trust also wishes that each student should be the best at whatever he/she is doing and gets success with flying colors. A student with a holistic mind and approach and with a strong value-based foundation will be able to fly like a bird in the sky, swim like a fish in the water and will walk on the earth like a man with a capital “M”. Our students will never be selfish. No doubt that he will work for the betterment of himself but also towards the betterment of society, Motherland and the universe. It feels pleasure to see the enthusiasm of the student of architecture in terms of showing their work skill at college as well as the city. Our cities, neighborhoods and surroundings exist in our memory and experiences.
